In order for the custom templates to work, place personalized templates files in the template folder.
Ojambo.com reviewed Geany as part of cross-platform lightweight programming editors.
The tutorial is broken up into two parts. The first creates an empty text file in the files sub-folder of the templates folder. The second part creates the template.
The final output in the file new menu yields a new template. Geany can be restarted if the new template is not shown. Another option to view new templates is to reload the configuration.
